More than a club. A Community.

Founded in 2002 by expats in Prague, Partisan has grown into an international football club with players from all over the world. We compete in the Czech league system, but what really makes us special is the friendships, social events, and club spirit that keep people coming back season after season.

Our History

Partisan Prague began in 2000, when Irishman Gerry Keaty organised kickabouts for expats in Prague — first 3v3 in a basketball gym, then 6v6, and by 2002 an 11-a-side team was formed.

For years we played friendlies against stag-dos and village sides, until 2009 when we helped launch the Prague Expat League. Soon after, we entered the Czech Football League pyramid, becoming the first independent expat club to do so. Against all odds, we won promotion in our second season, inspired by the brilliance of Federico “Fede” Arcomone.

In 2014 tragedy struck: Fede, our star striker and friend, passed away. His name still lives on with us today. That same year financial troubles hit hard, but the club rebuilt and by 2020 we had reached the 7th tier of Czech football — higher than any expat club before.

Today, with both an A-Team and B-Team and players from over 20 countries, Partisan is built on football, friendship, and community.

Competitive Football

We take our football seriously. Our A Team plays in the 7th tier of Czech football, a high amateur level that demands technical ability, fitness, and commitment. The B Team competes in the 9th tier, providing a pathway for developing players and those balancing competition with other commitments. Between the two teams, we offer football at a level that challenges experienced players while giving new joiners a chance to prove themselves.

FAQs

  • Get in touch with us via Instagram DM or the contact form, and we’ll invite you to a training session. That’s the best way for you (and us) to see if the level is the right fit. If we begin the registration process, you’ll need to sign during the league’s designated transfer windows in order to begin playing.

  • Our A-Team plays in the 7th tier of Czech football. Many of our A-Team players have competed at a high standard in the past, and the league is competitive — some opponents train 2–3 times per week. Our B-Team plays in the 9th tier, still competitive but a step down in intensity. Wherever you land, you’ll be pushed to improve.

  • We train once per week on Wednesday Evenings at the International School of Prague in Nebušice. While we ask for commitment — regular attendance matters for selection — we also recognise that people have jobs, studies, and lives outside football.

  • No. Training and matches are run in English. Of course, with Czech and international players in the squad, you’ll hear plenty of both languages around the club.

  • Membership fees are around 3,000 Kč per season, which covers training pitch rental, league registration, and equipment. There is also a small match fee to cover the cost of each game.

  • Huge. Post-match beers, club ski trips, intra-club matches, and plenty of social events are just as much a part of Partisan as the football. Many of our players say they stayed in Prague because of the community they found here.

  • DM us on Instagram or fill in the contact form. We’ll get back to you quickly and let you know when you can come down to training.
